Lowest-calorie hot coffees at Starbucks

Brewed coffee and Americanos sit near zero because they are coffee and water. A Caffè Misto adds steamed milk, and a cappuccino carries less milk than a latte, which is why it lands lower on the list.

  2. Espresso (Solo): 5 calories
  3. Caffè Americano (Grande): 15 calories

  6. Cappuccino (Grande): 140 calories

Caramel Macchiato calories

A hot Caramel Macchiato is 120 calories in a Short, 190 in a Tall, 250 in a Grande and 310 in a Venti, made with 2% milk, vanilla syrup (3 pumps in a Grande) and caramel drizzle. A Grande carries 33 g of sugar and 150 mg of caffeine.

The simplest cuts are a smaller size or fewer pumps: we estimate about 15 calories per pump of vanilla syrup, estimated by comparing the Blonde Vanilla Latte with the plain Caffè Latte.

Pumpkin Spice Latte calories

The Pumpkin Spice Latte is Short 210 · Tall 300 · Grande 390 · Venti 470 calories with 2% milk, pumpkin sauce (4 pumps in a Grande), whipped cream and pumpkin spice topping. A Grande has 50 g of sugar.

Whipped cream is part of the standard recipe. Our whip estimate for a Grande is about 90 calories, so a no-whip Grande lands near 300 calories. Pumpkin sauce works out to roughly 26 calories per pump including its topping.

How many calories are in Starbucks syrups and sauces?

The Starbucks menu page we read does not show per-pump values. The figures below are rough estimates from comparing a flavored drink with the plain Caffè Latte (minus our whipped cream estimate where the drink has whip); the calculator uses the same numbers.

Skinny and lighter lattes

When people order a "skinny" latte, they usually mean nonfat milk and sugar-free syrup. We do not yet have an estimate for nonfat milk or sugar-free syrup, so the calculator marks both as not yet estimated rather than guessing.

What the official data does show: a Grande Caffè Latte with 2% milk is 190 calories, a Grande Flat White with whole milk is 220, a Grande Blonde Vanilla Latte with 4 pumps is 250, and a Grande White Chocolate Mocha with whip is 390. Dropping the whip from the mocha saves about 90 calories.

Where the numbers come from

Base figures are the standard-recipe nutrition Starbucks publishes on its menu pages, read item by item (last checked ). Customization changes are rough estimates: most come from comparing two Starbucks menu items whose recipes differ mainly in that ingredient, almondmilk comes from a March 2023 Starbucks guide, and sizes without their own comparison are scaled by cup size. Options we have no estimate for are marked "not yet estimated" and left out of the total. Treat every figure as an estimate.
